A Fresno-based trucking service has been presented with the PPG Industries’ Excellent Supplier Award for superior performance in 2011.
Quali-T-Ruck Service of Fresno, which provides truckload transport in the U.S. to PPG’s flat glass business, was selected from criteria that include product quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness, continuous improvement and participation in PPG’s Supplier Added Value Effort ($AVE) program.
“We are pleased to recognize these suppliers, whose products, services, reliability, innovation and overall value in 2011 were outstanding,” said Steve Lampe, PPG vice president, corporate purchasing and logistics, in a release. “We consider them invaluable business partners who provide exceptional and significant competitive advantage to PPG.”
PPG Industries’ Fresno plant on S. Peach Ave. produces glass that is used in special solar applications. Fresno is one of only two locations in the country where this glass is made.
